Starting on Mother’s Day, May 14, 2023, each family welcoming a newborn baby at The Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital will receive a gift card for a complimentary small pizza at any Brickyard Hollow location. We are thrilled to collaborate with the hospital to extend a warm and supportive welcome to the newest members of our community and their families. At Brickyard Hollow, we believe that food, drink, and a sense of belonging have the power to bring people together. Our May Pizza With Potential Collaboration With Bird & Co.
Our Pizza With Potential initiative brings a festive twist this May, as we partner with Bird & Co., a popular Mexican restaurant in Portland’s Woodfords Corner neighborhood, to create a special Cinco de Mayo pizza while raising funds to combat childhood food insecurity in Maine.
With one in six children in Maine still facing food insecurity, the need for action is more critical than ever. That’s why, for the month of May, Brickyard and Bird & Co. are excited to present the “Street Corn Pizza” of the month. It’s a scrumptious combination of chorizo, street corn, cilantro, and cotija cheese atop Brickyard Hollow’s artisanal crust. For every pizza sold, $1 will be donated to Full Plates Full Potential, an organization dedicated to ending child hunger in Maine by partnering with the hospitality industry and various other businesses throughout the state.
The Street Corn Pizza will be available at Brickyard Hollow’s locations in Portland, Ogunquit, Yarmouth, and Freeport. In addition to supporting Full Plates through our pizza sales at Brickyard locations, Bird & Co. will carry Brickyard Hollow’s beer for the month, donating $1 from every beer sold to Full Plates.
This partnership not only showcases the culinary talents of both businesses but also helps make a positive impact on the community by addressing childhood hunger in Maine. We hope this collaboration inspires others to join the cause and make a difference in the lives of children in need.
