Go Apple Picking At Hansel’s Orchard

This classic Maine apple orchard in North Yarmouth is the perfect place to spend a fall afternoon with your family or friends picking your own apples. Hansel’s Orchard has many different apple varieties to choose from and is open until the end of October. If you stop by later in the season, they’ll provide a picking pole to reach apples higher in the trees. They’re also dog friendly, so you can bring along your pup! 

Check Out The Animals At Prince Well Farm

If you love animals, you’ll love Prince Well Farm! This Yarmouth farm raises award-winning Nigerian Dwarf Goats and Holland Lop Rabbits. In the spring, Prince Well Farm sells organic seedlings from its own greenhouse. Starting at the end of November, you can purchase beautiful handmade wreaths for the holiday season. Their farmstand is open daily. 

See Horses And Visit The Carriage Museum At Skyline Farm 

Skyline Farm is a community-based, non-profit organization aiming to combine history, nature, learning, and recreation on its 54-acre property. With hiking trails, public horseback riding trails, covered areas for picnics, and many events held throughout the year, there’s something for everyone to enjoy! Skyline Farm holds a carriage museum featuring over 100 antique carriages and sleighs. Community members are welcome to explore the exhibit and learn more about how and where they were built and the role they played in society. While on the property, you’ll likely see equestrians and horses, farm animals, or even a local artisan working in the blacksmith shop!

Wolfe’s Neck Farm is open on the weekends for the fall season and hosts tons of activities, including pumpkin hayrides, spooky scavenger hunts, squash bowling, and even butter making! This is a great option for families and kids. Stop into their farm store featuring organic produce and pasture-raised meats, which is open through October. 

Try Your Luck At The Corn Maze At Pine Ridge Acres

If you enjoy a challenge, you’ll appreciate this custom-designed and professionally cut corn maze in Cumberland, Maine. Pine Ridge Acres has countless other family-friendly activities, including a potato cannon, a petting zoo, hay rides, a barrel train, cider press demonstrations, and much more!
