The holidays are here! For many Maine non-profit organizations, this means holding holiday fundraisers and initiatives in support of their cause.  At Brickyard Hollow, we pride ourselves on being involved in our local communities and giving back whenever possible. This holiday season, we encourage you to join us in our fundraising efforts to raise money for a variety of non-profit organizations in Maine. We understand that coming together as a community will make the greatest impact, as we are truly better together.  Whether you’re already an active member of your community or you’re looking for ways to get involved, this is the perfect opportunity to give back and ensure people in your community have the holiday season they deserve!

Help Brickyard Hollow Reach Our $3,000 Fundraising Goal For The Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital

Assist us in raising money for families in need! Brickyard Hollow will be supporting the Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital throughout December. This month, 5% of sales from the Portland location will go directly to their Safe Sleep Program to provide cribs for families in need, as well as the Car Seat Program, which provides and installs safe car seats for low-income families leaving the hospital with a newborn. Stop by our Portland location for craft beer and pizza during the month of December to help us reach our $3,000 goal!

About The Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital

The Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital at Maine Medical Center is Maine’s only full-service children’s hospital. BBCH offers everything from well-child visits to specialized medical and surgical treatment of complex pediatric illnesses and injuries. The hospital provides advanced specialty services and state-of-the-art technology while delivering highly compassionate and personalized care to children and families across Maine.

Join Brickyard Hollow By Participating In The Ogunquit Spirit Of Giving Gift Drive

Brickyard will be participating in the Ogunquit Spirit Of Giving Gift Drive on December 4th! The Ogunquit Spirit Of Giving committee organizes a massive gift giveaway for children of Adoptive & Foster Families Of Maine, Inc. & The Kinship Program and children associated with the Frannie Peabody Center. All children have been sponsored for this event, but if you’d still like to participate, you can bring a $50 Target, Walmart, or Hannaford gift card to Mainstreet in Ogunquit on December 4th from 4-6.  We’ll be donating pizzas to the staff that runs the drive so that they can stay fueled for the big day!

About The Ogunquit Spirit Of Giving Committee

The Ogunquit Spirit Of Giving Committee organizes and collects gifts for hundreds of underprivileged children in Maine each year. The committee started in 2005 and has since supported thousands of children at AFFM and the Frannie Peabody Center.

Head To Yarmouth And Support The Girl Scouts Of Maine

Support the Girl Scouts Of Maine! We will be hosting a local troop at the Yarmouth Brewpub on December 4th as they sell and decorate cookies to raise money for a good cause.

Other Ways To Support Your Favorite Maine Non-Profits During The Holidays

Volunteer

Donating your time can be a fun and meaningful way to support a Maine non-profit you care about. Whether you spend a few hours or a few days of your time, volunteering is an excellent and inexpensive way to show your support for a cause that is important to you.

Spread The Word

Take the time to raise awareness about causes and events in your area! Invite friends to a local charity event, or plan a family volunteer day at a local fundraiser. Spreading the word over social media is an even easier way to get your community involved.

Company Service Project

If you’re a small business owner, bring your team together during the holidays by giving back to the community. You can plan a volunteer outing for your employees, support a giving tree, or host a fundraiser. Ask your team for their input on volunteer and philanthropy opportunities during holidays and throughout the year.

Donate Gently Used Clothes Or Items

People need necessities and warm clothing more than ever this time of year, especially during the cold Maine Winters. Connect with a local shelter or donation center to find their top needs and organize a drive to collect items for people in need.

Support Financially

If you don’t have the bandwidth to give your time, supporting organizations financially is a great way to help them achieve their goals. Whether you donate big or small, you’re still making a difference and supporting a good cause.
