The three courses also give experienced players very different challenges. Pineland describes the Minuteman as a more recreational 4,116-foot layout designed for a broad range of players. The Patriot stretches 7,491 feet with more challenging terrain and obstacles. The Commander reaches 9,235 feet and was designed with advanced players in mind.
That makes for a pretty good disc golf day.

A shorter course can be a much easier introduction to disc golf for families.
You are not committing everyone to 18 holes before you know whether the kids actually like the game. The distances are manageable, discs are available to borrow, and dinner is already onsite when attention spans start running low.
We do not put a hard age on who should play. Kids develop at different speeds. If they can throw safely, follow basic directions, and wait until the fairway is clear, an adult can help them learn the game.
It is also fine if the score stops mattering after hole four.
